Super-Hydro-Grow is a biodegradable, super-absorbent, starch-based polymer, developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This super polymer has a twenty-year proven history of helping agriculture, agro-forestry and forestry around the world. Our polymer absorbs up to 300 times its weight in water and slowly releases that water in the root zone for use by plants. Super-Hydro-Grow also absorbs water soluble nutrients and fertilizer, preventing their percolation into the water table. Super-Hydro-Grow significantly reduces watering cycles to conserve water for growers. It is used to prevent plant loss due to water stress and in soil where the water holding capacity is low or non-existent. It even works in sand! It will hydrate and re-hydrate hundreds of times over its useful life, providing on-going benefit to the plants. It typically keeps working in the soil for one to three years. Super-Hydro-Grow has been shown to reduce water usage up to 50 percent.
Super-Hydro-Grow helps build better soil. As water is drawn from the Super-Hydro-Grow particles by plants, the Super-Hydro-Grow particles reduce in size, allowing oxygen to occupy the void space and creating a better soil environment, while stimulating more vigorous root development.
