Super-Hydro-Grow is a biodegradable, super-absorbent, starch-based polymer, developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This super polymer has a twenty-year proven history of helping agriculture, agro-forestry and forestry around the world. Our polymer absorbs up to 300 times its weight in water and slowly releases that water in the root zone for use by plants. Super-Hydro-Grow also absorbs water-soluble nutrients and fertilizer, preventing their percolation into the water table. Plus, Super-Hydro-Grow biodegrades, turning into a sugar and adding additional benefits to the soil! Most other super-absorbents are hydrocarbon-based, do not biodegrade and become toxic over time.
