Super-Hydro-Grow improves transplant survivability. Super-Hydro-Grow hydrogel (flakes mixed with water) is used as a shipping aid and transplant treatment for bare-root seedlings to keep the roots moist during handling and transport. It is formulated to protect the roots from drying. Drying out of the root system is a leading cause of mortality for bare-root seedlings. Super-Hydro-Grow is used by government agencies, nurseries, foresters, and landscapers around the world to protect exposed roots from total dehydration. It is also used as a soil amendment to promote critical early seedling development.

Super-Hydro-Grow seed coatings significantly improve the rate of seed germination and establishment. Our seed coating products absorb water and soften the shells of the seeds promoting germination and early development. Much of the seed used today does not have high-germination rates. Cotton, for example, has only an 80 percent germination rate. These rates can be significantly increased with Super-Hydro-Grow. Germination rates vary depending upon the planting conditions and type of seed. However the use of Super-Hydro-Grow seed coatings has typically increased germination rates from 10 to 25 percent.

Transplanting – Prepare a slurry by mixing 3 heaping tablespoons with 1 quart of water. Let stand for 15 minutes until mixture thickens. Dip roots of plants to be transplanted into the slurry just prior to transplant. Increase effectiveness by mixing 1 tablespoon of Super-Hydro-Grow per gallon of backfill into the backfill.
